One of the things that we at JPI believe is most important is to support people who have been directly impacted by the justice system in elevating their own voices, knowledge and experiences.

One of our partners, Rob Barton and Pam Bailey, co-founders of More Than Our Crimes are in the process of making a documentary in partnership with Unchained Stories you can (watch clips from the film here) “to support the approximately 500 DC residents who will be petitioning for their early release under the District’s Second Look Act, as well as build support for a provision of the new criminal code now under consideration that would extend that opportunity to ALL residents who have been incarcerated at least 15 years.”

They have received grant funding, but need additional funds to finish the film. This is an incredibly important work that we all need to support (to be clear, JPI is their fiscal sponsor, funds raised are dedicated to More Than Our Crimes.)

Rob and Pam need all of our support as a community to complete their film Please join us today in supporting More Than Our Crimes’ critical film.
